Learn about the transition rules to our new applications, and how to get appointed with Elips Life.
Please note these important details:
- Elips Life will be launching in 20 total states in two phases.
- Beginning on 6/14, Elips Life will be available for sale in these 16 states: AR, AZ, GA, IA, IL, IN, LA, MI, MS, NE, OH, OK, SC, SD, TN and TX.
- Beginning on 7/12, Elips Life will be available for sale in these 4 states: DE, NC, ND and UT.
- Effective 7/14, acceptance of new Med Supp apps underwritten by Lumico will be discontinued in these states.
- A 30-day transition period will be available for agents to complete and submit any pending Lumico Life applications in newly available Elips Life states.
- For Elips Life states launching on 6/14:
- Lumico Life e-Apps in those states will be disabled on 6/14/21, and the last day to start a new Lumico Life e-App will be 6/13/21.
- All Lumico Life e-Apps "in progress" as of 7/14/21 will be expired. If expired, a new Elips Life application must be started.
- All Lumico Life paper applications must be completed and received (via fax/upload/mail) by Lumico on or before 7/13/21.
- For Elips Life states launching on 7/12:
- Lumico Life e-Apps in those states will be disabled on 7/12/21, and the last day to start a new Lumico Life e-App will be 7/11/21.
- All Lumico Life e-Apps "in progress" as of 8/11/21 will be expired. If expired, a new Elips Life application must be started.
- All Lumico Life paper applications must be completed and received (via fax/upload/mail) by Lumico on or before 8/10/21.
- For Elips Life states launching on 6/14:
- Agents will be alerted of expiration date in the Lumico Agent Center.
Authorizing my appointment with Elips Life:
- Q: What does an agent appointed with Lumico, or new agent (after 4/22), need to do initiate the Elips Life appointment pop-up in the Lumico Agent Center?
- A: Nothing. The pop-up window will automatically appear when an agent logs into the Lumico Agent Center.
- Q: How do I authorize my appointment with Elips Life?
- A: Log on to Lumico Agent Center. An authorization pop-up will appear—just click "Agree." That's it!
- Q: Will the authorization pop-up message expire?
- A: The pop-up message will no longer appear once an agent has checked the box to get appointed with Elips Life.
- Q: When can an agent begin selling Elips Life after they've authorized their appointment?
- A: Elips Life will be available for sale on 6/14/21. Agents should expect normal appointment timelines after launch.
- Q: Who can I call if I have questions about Lumico Medigap Solutions, or authorizing my appointment with Elips Life?
